Rock Bottom!!

Your life may resemble Jerusalem’s broken down walls and burnt down gates but that doesn’t give you the right to throw in the towel. We all have a little Nehemiah in us and the same God that compelled and propelled him to do something about it, is the same God that’s telling you to start rebuilding!! We are not shameful and beaten down returning exiled remnants! We are sons and daughters of almighty God! I say to you what Nehemiah in said to the Jewish leaders in chp.2 v.17, “You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace.” We may lose a few battles every now again but rest assured the war has already been won!! When we rebuild the broken down walls and burned down gates in our lives it serves as s sign to the enemy that God ain’t done yet and it helps to encourage others that need to begin the rebuilding process in their own lives!!

One Way!!

There is only One road that leads to eternal salvation, life, and peace with God. I love the way the Message Bible paraphrased John 14:6, “Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him. You’ve even seen Him!” There so many debates about this spiritual truth; in fact from the Pharisees and Sadducees perspective this was the main reason they crucified Him. So don’t get all hung up on trying to figure out how this was possible instead read Philippians 2:5-8. Simply put, we serve a God that make impossible things possible and there is no way our mere human comprehension can fully dissect the spiritual complexities of how God does what only He can do throughout history and our present lives today!

Establishing Expectations!

Expectations are beliefs that spring from a person’s thought process when examining evidence, situations, and circumstances. Our expectations are not always correct because of flaws in our logic and the bias of hope and desire. Often, we form expectations automatically, without conscious effort. When expectations are not met, pain ensues, and we often place blame on the something or someone who did not live up to our expectations—even if our expectations were unreasonable and/or not communicated. Therefore, don’t place expectations on others before you first communicate and then agree on what the expectations you are setting. Assumed expectations only leads to disappointment, discouragement, and discord. In everything, we should look to God and trust Him (Proverbs 3:5–6). His promises are absolutely sound, and our expectation that He will fulfill His Word is called faith. We can expect God to do exactly what He says he will do (2 Corinthians 1:20; Joshua 21:45; Psalm 77:8; 2 Peter 1:4). When based on God’s Word and properly communicated our expectations will never fail to be met by God nor by man!

✅Me✅Me✅Me

Are you a selfish and self centered person? I believe most people are primarily focused on self preservation and meeting their own needs, goals etc. Look at this way; from birth we are all born selfish and self-centered. If you are a parent then you know exactly what I’m talkin bout! Simply put, sharing doesn’t come naturally; we must be taught not to be selfish. Walk with me, if people were born unselfish, there wouldn’t be any wars or conflicts. ….all of us ‘naturally good’ people would consistently defer to one another, and all would be satisfied. There would be no need for such aphorisms as “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” We would naturally do what is right without such reminders. Well, Paul had to remind the church at Philippi in ch. 2 v. 4! He said, “For each of them not to look only to their own interests, but also to the interests of others” and to the church at Corinth he said, “Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor” (I Cor 10:24). I’ve heard it said, “The cure for selfishness is to know where our treasure is. The Christian holds the things of this world loosely because he is laying up “treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:19-21). He knows it is “more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35), and he lives according to the truth that “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).” The equating divider that separates selfishness between selflessness is humility! Unpretentious humility restores, revives, reestablishes, and heals people as well as, broken relationships!

We Are The Church!

The church building is just that a building. In most cases the building is made up of concrete, framing materials (roof, windows,& doors)brick veneer, hardie plank, stucco, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, insulation, wallboard, paint, cabinets, flooring, and furniture. However, did you notice that God’s Spirit doesn’t reside in neither of the components listed? Having said that, in order for that building to be a church for God, the people of God must fill it! Paul said in I Corinthians 3:9, “For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.” So when you go to a church building beaten and broken to worship, praise, and to be refilled by God’s word remember it’s you that first fill the building with His spirit! Paul continues to teach the church (people) at Corinth in V16 he said, “Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?” Therefore, WE ARE THE CHRUCH and the building is a place where we worship, praise, pray, and fellowship together as one but many bodies of believers!

YOU ARE NEVER TOO FAR GONE….PERIOD!!

It doesn’t matter how many mistakes you make; God’s love for his people is from everlasting to everlasting! So if you are like me and sometimes wander if God still loves the unlovable in you, the answer to that question is YES, absolutely YES, AND undoubtedly YES!! We are never too far gone for God’s indispensable #GRACE! We are never to too far gone for God’s unyielding #MERCY! We are never too far gone for God’s limitless #LOVE! I know there are some who are skeptical in believing this spiritual truth but you don’t have to take my word for it-listen to what Jesus said in John 10:27-29, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one [NO THING] can snatch them from the Father’s hand.” If you still don’t believe me check out what Paul said in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, [NO THING] shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!!” Now then, can I get at least one witness and recipient of God grace, mercy, and love to say, ‘#HALLELUJAH , thank you #JESUS, and #AMEN!!!’

Difficult Times-SEEK GOD!

Are you or someone you know confused? discouraged and/or depressed? Do you lack direction? You know we are in hurricane season and although I may not know the name of the storm your facing, God does and I want to encouraged you to stop talking about it and discontinue seeking a solution/remedy through other people! There is nothing wrong with confiding in people. However, some storms don’t die nor fade away; they have to come to pass. I believe this is why Solomon said in Proverbs 3:5-6 to “TRUST in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. SEEK His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” One thing is certain we all experience storms throughout our lives but because our ADVOCATE is greater than the storms we battle our VICTORY is already won! Isaiah 12:2 reminds us that, ‘God has come to save us. If we will trust in Him and not be afraid. The LORD our God is our strength and our song; he has given us victory!” Therefore, if this message is for you remember what Paul said in Phil 4:6, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray [seek God] about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.”

Heart Transplant

America we need a need a heart transplant!! In Ezekiel 36:16-26, God sends Israel a message through the prophet regarding their guaranteed restoration. However, the crux of the matter is why they had to be restored in the first place. According to the NIV, in the opening verses

of this paragraph Israel’s conduct and actions were horrible. God poured out His justified wrath because they had shed innocent blood and had riddled His land with idols. Therefore, God told Ezekiel to telI Israel they are on the heart transplant list and they are fixing to get a “new heart”. Essentially, Ezekiel foreshadowed the change that takes place at salvation or an awakening (aka) repentance!! America is no different today than Israel back in the day! It matters not whether we’re rich or poor, respected or scorned. Citizenship, social status, and ethnicity are inconsequential. We need a new heart from God, and the only doctor qualified to complete this procedure is Jesus Christ’s. Here’s the good news America because of God’s delay it’s not too late. We still have time to make things right! In v26, God promised Israel that He will give them a new heart and put a new spirit in them. He will remove their our arrogance and stubbornness (heart of stone) and replace it with love and compassion (heart of the flesh). If God did this for Israel, He will also do this for America!

Praise Is Who We Are!

God give us peace and rest when we worship and praise Him for who He is! David said in Psalm 22:3, “God inhabits the praise of His people.” I don’t know about you, but I need the Lord’s inhabiting of my life, everyday!! I need His rhythms in my plans and steps. I need Him to abide with me as He promises. If the way to bring Him closer to me is by coming near to Him through worship and praise, count me all in baby! I’ll be here, hands high, crying from the depths of my soul, the very inmost parts of my spirit, voice rising from the top of my lungs, “I need you more, come, Jesus, come! Inhabit my praises! Abide in me! I want You to be an atmosphere I carry through life!” Unfortunately, pain, tragedy, and discouragement inhibits our worship and impedes our praise. But as a living witness, I am here to tell you no matter our circumstance, God is worthy of our praise!! He takes our imperfect, inadequate, and flawed derived worship and praise and He receives them as if they are perfect, impeccable, and unblemished because He sees the Christ in us over all the mess we hold onto that tries to drain and depletes us! Therefore, it is with my head held high and eyes lifted up I press on to worship and praise the God who deeply loves each of us as if there were only one of us!!

HE>I

All David had was his faith in God and a rock to defeat a giant. Therefore, all you need is faith in ‘THE ROCK’ (not Dwayne Johnson) to defeat yours! If you are facing what appears to be an unbeatable obstacle(s) in your life, you must remember that you serve and unbeatable, undeniable, undefeated God!! I John 4:4 reminds us that we belong to God and we have already won victory over our people [our giants] ((HALLELUJAH))because the Spirit who lives in us is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. THANK YOU JESUS!!!
