It Goes Down In the DM (War Room)🙏🏾

We fight a war everyday. It’s a war between good and evil; a spiritual war that cannot be seen through carnal lens. But thankfully, God through the aid of His Holy Spirit equips us with resources; the power, strength, clarity, and wisdom that’s needed to live each day victoriously! In the MSG, Ephesians 6:11 says, “And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.” Everything that occurs in the natural world is directly connected to the wrestling match being waged in the super natural. So today remember despite the incessant spiritual battles we face, through prayer and by faith we have access to super natural resources that will disarm, dismantle and defeat Satan’s deceptive schemes, plots, and plans in our lives and in the lives of our loved one!! Hallelujah and praise God!!

#MOVEFORWARD

Life is way to short to spend it bickering, fussing, and fighting. Oftentimes, it’s just best to let it go! It’s not always the devil’s fault as to why we choose to hold on to dead weight. The flesh craves justice whereas the spirit desires grace and mercy. Fire can only last as long as you continue to throw logs in it. You have to make a conscientious decision to let things go and then the final step is to stop recollecting the memory of the offense. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” We all fall or have fell into one or more of these scenarios: you fail(ed)to forgive yourself, you fail(ed)to forgive the situation, you fail(ed)to realize that the situation is over, or you fail(ed) to move forward. Simply put, letting go means that you come to the realization some things are only part of your history, but not a part of your destiny.

Confession!!

God ain’t done with me yet nor is He done with you! Jesus promised to finish what He started (Phil 1:6). In fact from a big picture standpoint God already sees us perfectly complete in Christ (Col 3:3). However, this spiritual assurance shouldn’t stop us from evaluating our earthly behaviors. I am at times selfish, stubborn, controlling, inpatient, argumentative, and prideful. If you are honest with yourself too, you’ll see that I am not alone in my self-assessment. At the center of my transparency is humility. I’ve learned that in order to come to Christ as a sinner, I must come in humility. Why? Well, Jesus was not ashamed to humble Himself as a servant (John 13:1-16), even to death on the cross (Philippians 2:8). In His humility, He was always obedient to the Father and so should humble Christians be willing to put aside all selfishness, arrogance, pride, etc and submit in obedience to God and His Word. True humility produces godliness, contentment, and security. God has promised to give grace to the humble, while He opposes the proud (Proverbs 3:34; 1 Peter 5:5). Therefore, we must confess and put away all things that is converses with God’s will, plan and purpose for our lives. No, I am not ashamed to stand with Paul and view myself as he did himself; the “least of the apostles” and the “chief of sinners” (1 Timothy 1:15; 1 Corinthians 15:9).

Counting On God

“You’ve been raised on the Message of the faith and have followed sound teaching. Now pass on this counsel to the followers of Jesus there, and you’ll be a good servant of Jesus. Stay clear of silly stories that get dressed up as religion. Exercise daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please! Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever. You can count on this. Take it to heart. This is why we’ve thrown ourselves into this venture so totally. We’re banking on the living God, Savior of all men and women, especially believers.”

Omnipotent God!!

O’God – You are the mighty Creator of the universe and Your power is shown throughout all the earth. You hold the worlds and the galaxies together by the might of Your glorious arm – the stars of heaven sing of Your magnificence and Your power sustains the life of each tiny sparrow and the mighty oceans roar and swell but every drop can be measured in the palm of Your mighty hands. Father even the majestic mountains were formed by Your word and by your hand no-thing is too difficult for You for You alone are my mighty God and heavenly Father. Today Lord, we declare and submit our praises unto Your glory and honor forevermore. We say all these things by the move of your Holy Spirit; Hallelujah!! In Jesus’ name who is worthy to be praise; amen and amen!!

Talk to God………..

Stop bottling up pain, frustration, and anger! The ‘mule-lipped’ syndrome is the enemy’s #1 strategy. If the enemy can shut you up, He can most likely shut you down. Choose the latter and open your mouth and hearts to God! David made it clear in Psalm 37:5. He said, “Open up before GOD, keep nothing back; he’ll do whatever needs to be done: He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon.” What more can you ask for from a God who is wiling to do anything to embrace you, comfort you, and love you! When Christ was crucified the veil that separated us from God was destroyed from the top-to-the bottom granting us access to a holy and righteous God! We have a direct line to Omnipotent God!! Try Him today and I guarantee you that He will hear your voice from heaven, He will forgive you of your sins, and He will heal your land!!

Why Me God?!

We are not told why God allowed Satan to torture Job. However, neither was Job given the answer. In Job 38:1-18 God is not a bit concerned about Job’s guilt nor innocence. Instead God flips the script and begins discussing the wonders of the world. So, what is the purpose of the creation talk while Job remained in the dark about why he, or any human, should suffer. As often happens, we form questions for God, and when the answer comes, it does not deal directly with the questions that we raised. Perhaps the questions were unanswerable. The most common understanding of God’s response is exactly this point. Job and his friends have been trying to answer a question that they can never solve. Yes, they’re mysteries beyond our human comprehension (Go Figure). Our only response to explained or unexplained suffering is worship! It is said in Job 1:20, that after hearing about the death of his livestock and children, Job fell to the ground and worshipped God saying, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, naked I’ll return to the womb of the earth God gives, God takes. God’s name be ever blessed.”

Break Me Lord, Break Me For Your Glory!

Why does God have to break us before He use us? Well, for obvious reasons but, C.H. Spurgeon speaks about the way in which God likes to bring people to the very end of themselves before taking ahold of them and using them for his glory: “Is it not a curious thing that whenever God means to make a man great, He always first breaks him into pieces? There was a man whom the Lord meant to make into a prince. How did He do it? Why, He met him one night and wrestled with him! You always hear about Jacob’s wrestling. Well, I dare say he did, but it was not Jacob who was the principal wres- tler—“There wrestled a man with Him until the breaking of the day.” God touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh and put it out of joint before He called him “Israel,” that is, “a Prince of God.” The wrestling was to take all his strength out of him and when his strength was gone, then God called him a prince (Sermon 2282). All I can say Lord, is I am out of strength……….AMEN

Lead Me Lord!

“Hurry with your answer, GOD! I’m nearly at the end of my rope. Don’t turn away; don’t ignore me! That would be certain death. If you wake me each morning with the sound of your loving voice, I’ll go to sleep each night trusting in you. Point out the road I must travel; I’m all ears, all eyes before you. Save me from my enemies, GOD — you’re my only hope! Teach me how to live to please you, because you’re my God. Lead me by your blessed Spirit into cleared and level pastureland.” Psalm‬ ‭143:10‬ ‭MSG‬‬
