DEATH IS NOT FINAL

20140517-075311.jpg

I stop by this morning to tell you that death is not final and because of Christ, our Savior, death lost it’s sting some 2,000 years ago! For those who are in Christ will never die, they will live forever! On 5/16/2014 @10PM (CST) Heaven confirmed another reservation. The life we so fondly treasured is now intimately treasured by the One who created her life. Although my sweet Aunti Alecia will be immensely and sorely missed, I know her quality of life is better than it ever was. She was a true Christian believer and she knew that God’s called was greater than the sting of cancer. No, cancer isn’t the victor rather Aunti Alecia is the victor. You see life contrary to what we believe have term limits and I believe, once we fulfill that which God calls us to do, He calls us back home. He misses us more than we can imagine. The author of Hebrews 13:14 says, “For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our city in Heaven, which is yet to come.”

Alecia was beautiful from the inside out. Her smile lit up a room! She never knew a stranger. I promise you her blonde locks where always picture perfect. To top it off she not only had the eyes, the hair, and the smile, she was one of the most intelligent women I’ve ever met! With all that said, she is at peace right now! I’m talking about unshakeable peace. The peace that surpasses all human comprehension! After a taste of this peace, who would ever desire to come back?

Remember after the fall of man, God never intended for us to live in eternal separation from Him on this planet rather He calls us to live in eternal communion with Him in Heaven.

Death is never easy to accept and embrace and human words without the expression of Godly love are ineffective. Therefore, I say that a sunset on earth, is a sunrise in Heaven! Beloved, I leave you with these words from I Thessalonians 4:15-18, “According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”

Weeping endures for a night but joy cometh in the morning!!

We love you Aunti!!

A THING OF VALUE

20140516-093020.jpg

The world, satan, and our own flesh may say that we are of no value but God says differently. After meditating over several of the parables spoken by Jesus in the various Gospels, I discovered an important common denominator. To name a few the wheat/tares, the hidden treasure, the great price (pearl), and the lost coin. Each of these parables point to something of ‘value’. I would like to narratively expand on the parable of the lost coin. Read Luke 15:8-10, “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and sweep the entire house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she will call in her friends and neighbors and say, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.” So what’s the ‘thing’ of value? Yep, you got it, ‘us’! Notice the woman’s diligence in finding this drachma coin. She burns expensive oil to light the area, she uses a broom to reach areas she most likely couldn’t reach by hand, and she meticulously dedicates her time to find the coin. Drachma derives from the Greek verb meaning “to grasp”. Insignificant? Not really. John 10:28 says, “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from Me.” Watch this, God values us more than we could every fathom and once we are in His grasp [drachma], we are in his grasp [drachma] forever. In short this parable should serve as a reminder that God welcomes every sinner, He sees value in every sinner, and He rejoices whenever a sinner comes to repentance. We are so valuable to
God that He sent His only begotten Son to die for us (John 3:16). Gospel music artist Marvin Sapp sung it best; “He saw the best in me, when everyone else around could only see the worst in me.” God always see the best in us so be encouraged today and don’t let the world, satan, or your flesh tell you anything different!!! The best is yet to come!

TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET?

20140515-083805.jpg

Trapped in your mental closet? Insert this scripture into the key hole on your mental door from 2 Corinthians 3:17, “For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” Praise Him even if you don’t feel like it and watch your situation change for the better!

SIN IS NAILED TO THE CROSS!

20140514-110401.jpg

God doesn’t punish us for our sins. How can He punish us for sins that have already been paid for? Often time we confuse chastisement with punishment. Chastisement is correction with love whereas punishment is vengeance and penalty. Point is, Jesus paid the penalty for our past, present, and future sins. Romans 8:1 says “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Watch this, because we are forever 4given doesn’t give us a license to sin. It’s is important to note that when we do sin our natural and spiritual lives are adversely impacted. We must confess (stand in agreement) our sins and God is perennially faithfully to cleanse us and to 4give us of all unrighteousness. (1John 1:9) It behooves us to remember that when we choose not to confess our shortcomings we hinder our fellowship and communion with God.

In his article “Knowing God” J.I. Packer said, “We need to remember that sin is a constant in our lives while we are yet on this earth (Romans 3:10, 23). Therefore, we not only have to deal with God’s discipline for our disobedience, but we also have to deal with the natural consequences resulting from sin. If a believer steals something, God will [at confession] forgive him and cleanse him from the sin of theft, restoring fellowship between Himself and the repentant thief. However, the societal consequences of theft can be severe, resulting in fines or even incarceration. These are natural consequences of sin and must be endured. But God works even through those consequences to increase our faith and glorify Himself.

The more we learn about God, the more we should understand His desires for our lives. Chastisement offers us the opportunity to grow and conform ourselves to the image of Christ (Romans 12:1-2). If you are like me, you know this transformation process isn’t easy and at times can be excruciatingly painful however, the end result far exceeds the pain it takes to become fully transformed into Christ’s image!

GOD’s CANOPY

20140513-075544.jpg

“He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent [canopy] to live in.” Isaiah 40:22 Beloved brothers and sisters join me in giving the God of our salvation all the praise and glory for allowing us to live under His supernatural canopy of abundant mercy, grace, power, protection, refuge, shelter, peace, love, joy, favor, and forgiveness. It just doesn’t get any better than this!

Isaiah 4:5-6,”Then the Lord will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and [a]protection from the storm and the rain.”

HE DIED FOR HIS ENEMY

20140512-073658.jpg

Because of love Christ died for His enemy and He would do it again because He is love! Look at what Paul said in Colossians 1:21, “This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from Him by your evil thoughts and act.” Now flip to I Thessalonians 5:10, “Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever.” In Christ we went from an enemy of God to beloved of God. What more can we ask for?

GOD DOESN’T LIE

20140509-073539.jpg

We hope for what may be possible.
But we have faith in and expect what God promises. Watch this, Numbers 23:19 says “Because God Does Not Lie! is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” That’s enough right there to stand up even in the midst of trials, adversity, and circumstances to give God a shout of praise!!!! Will you join me?

BELIEVE, BELIEVE, BELEIVE

20140507-073529.jpg

Beloved, what I am about to say isn’t a hoax or stunt; it’s real. The bible says in the book of Hebrews that you must come to God believing! James tells us the effectual fervent prayers avails. Jesus said, ” Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.” Friend and beloved of God, I declare today, the God kind of faith believes in the heart, that what it says with the mouth, will come to pass. And then dares to say in Jesus name it’s already done, amen, and Hallelujah!!!!!!

If you have been in prayer about something I ask that you insert your request below and say aloud;

________________________IN JESUS’ NAME IT’S ALREADY DONE, AMEN, and HALLELUJUAH!
